The issues
1) Audio has clicks and pops when recorded in OBS, remuxed from MKV to MP4, and then edited in FCP.
2) Remuxed or direct-recorded MP4 files seem to have a corrupted frame as either the first frame or the first few frames.
With #1, I did find a solution here https://obsproject.com/forum/thread...-audio-random-every-second-in-timeline.71058/ ... basically, bounce the audio out of the video and re-import it, or directly record to MP4. Neither option is really ideal, so I'm hunting for other solutions
With #2, the following happens.
For the remuxed video, everything was playable, and editable, but when it came to exporting it, I got this error: Export failed RequestCVPixelBufferForFrame returned 3 for absolute frame 2. Some googling suggested that this indicated that frame 2 was corrupted, and I could go into the editor and cut out frame 2 to solve the problem.
After some trimming, the video was exportable, but I had to cut out what feels like more than three frames. Regardless, it seems to me like this shouldn't be a thing in the first place.
For the direct-to-mp4 video, it's even worse. FCP outright refuses to play the clip, even though I can scrub thorugh it as per normal. Blindly deleting the smallest section I could select from the beginning (I guess one to a few frames) solved the issue, but it seems (again) that this shouldn't be necessary in the first place.
Any idea what's happening? What can I do to get more information to figure this out?
Here's a log fie from an mp4 recording sesh that made a corrupted file. https://obsproject.com/logs/-6CK-NcrYG-Yd8zc
