Easy Browser Source Developer Hotfix (Twitch Alerts Echo Problem)

Hello developers and forum users,

I am a rookie streamer and I'm using a dual PC setup to stream efficiently. An obstacle that I have encountered when I'm configuring my setup is the audio solutions that are required to have this sort of setup. It can get quite tricky... But the biggest problem I am having at the moment is an echo that occurs when I'm using the streamlabs twitch alerts. Let me explain:

PROBLEM
I have the twitch alerts notifications added as a browser source in OBS on my streaming PC. This generates a .gif and a sound in my OBS software on my streaming PC to my stream. I cannot hear this sound in my gaming PC headset and therefore I cannot hear when I get a notification, which is a liability to me. Obviously.

In order to hear the notification I will have to open a tab in chrome (or random browser) with the same URL as the browser source I'm using.

The notification I hear in my headset is then being picked up by my capture card and relayed into OBS in my streaming PC that is already playing the sound through the browser source in the software. This results in an echo that is very unpleasant for my viewers.

FIX
What would dramatically fix this issue, from what I've see on help forums, is a "mute sound checkbox" within the browser source properties tab. This would be a great feature and probably easily implemented for your developers.

This way I (we) could have the sound playing from an opened tab on my (our) gaming PC for both me and my viewers to hear and then the .gif playing in OBS on my streaming PC resulting in a regular twitch alert for my viewers without any echo.

For anybody who is using a single PC setup or just doesn't want to hear it can just disregard this feature. But for anyone else using the Dual PC setup, this would be a tremendous fix.

TL;DR
Add "mute audio" checkbox to browser source in OBS for a convenient fix to "dual-PC-Setup-twitch-alert-echo".

Thanks in advance for this fix.

Best regards,

Unfortunately at this time, CEF does not provide a way to control its audio. This is also why there is no audio meter for the browser source in the mixer. Hopefully this will be added in a future version of CEF.

Feels like the time I went to a hi-fi store asking for a wireless dongle so that I could stream music from my PC to my stereo media player 4 years before apple tv and chromecast invented that tech.

"Ehm... I'm sorry sir but that tech doesn't exist right now."

"WE PUT MAN ON THE MOON 50 YEARS AGO!"

Maybe I should become an inventor.
