Question / Help DVD Player As A Source

Is it possible to use my DVD internal drive/player as a source to play back music,videos etc..?

i havent tested it but it should be possible with vlc and vlc source (using vlc to playback the audio cd)
but not sure

How do you add VLC as a source? I have VLC but don't know how to add it as a source..

Not directly, as far as I know. You would use another program to play out the audio through a system sound device, and then OBS can just capture that. You wouldn't add the drive directly to OBS.

Thanks...I think it's easier to just rip the soundtrack and then play it as a media file..That's what I do now...
