Dual PC vs Same PC recording/streaming

I see a lot of suggestions to use the auto configuration for recording and streaming settings. Would this be the same recommendation whether streaming or recording from a second PC or the same PC?

With modern NVENC, 2PC setups are effectively pointless aside from a very few edge case scenarios. 20-series cards produce encoded output on par with x264 Slow, with no game-performance impact as NVENC is a separate part of the GPU.

So yes, the same recommendations hold true, even if you are using a second PC for whatever reason.
