Hello everyone, this is my first post to a forum in general so if I'm missing some key information I sincerely apologize. I currently use a 4k elgato capture card and use a dual pc setup. However I experience a lot of screen tearing on my streaming PC's OBS.
I extend my displays and use OBS on both computers. I do a full screen preview and make it display on the extended monitor. The extended monitor is obviously captured on the streaming PC. The reason I do this rather than duplicate displays is because the screen tearing is 10000x worse when the screen is duplicated.
I use two 144hz monitors that are 2560x1440p, changing the refresh rates/having them the same hasn't changed anything in screen tearing for me.
My gaming rig general specs is it has a 1080ti FTW an i7-7700k and 32g of ram. It doesnt have any real issues. All issues come from the streaming PC.
Streaming PC general specs:
CPU Name: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz
GPU gtx 1060 6g
RAM 16g
Attached is my obs log for my streaming PC after recording a short segment of PUBG. I use a lot of different sources and scenes for different comical things, and with or without all of that the tearing is the same(I doubt that matters).
