Question / Help Dual PC - sound was working - now doesn't - Avermedia - HDMI

Ok so I was working on setting up the whole dual pc setup for over a week few months ago and it has been working fine. It's done like this - hdmi from gaming pc graphics card to Avermedia in streaming pc. Streaming pc - obs with Avermedia capture. RECentral set to other pc and audio through HDMI. OBS studio - Avermedia settings - DirectSound (although its not the cause of the problem, wave out/only capture modes dont change anything). So the audio was going directly through hdmi with the video and was being played in OBS. Now, sometimes the audio would not be working, but my gaming pc restart was always fixing it - now it's not. In gaming pc sound options I've got my default device on Speakers which output the sound to my headphones. It was setup in this way and it was working. If I set the default playback device to avermedia, the sound is indeed working in the streaming pc OBS, but it does not play in my headphones. So its not the fault of the hdmi cable nor anything hardware related. It's simply one stupid option that was changed recently and automatically. I suspect that one day i turned on my pc and the sound was playing through the monitor and not through my headphones, thats when i think it got messed up. I know its complicated but I hope SOMEBODY can really help me. Please dont suggest using 3,5mm cable, it was working without it before and I would want to just get it back. I'm not using voicemeeter as it was impossible (well, at least i tried for several hours back in the days) to get it played on headphones without slight delay which is unplayable in CS:GO.

OK on the second day of fixing i did it! For all of you having similar problem (and maybe me in the future :D): dual pc streaming setup and sending audio via hdmi from gaming pc:
1) gaming pc options:
default playback set to Speakers, muted back outputs option (realtek-> advanced settings of Speakers), then in recording my headset microphone set to default but Stereo mix enabled, listening to: Avermedia (stereo mix thing is basically the most important thing in this solution)
2) streaming pc - recentral, other pc + audio via hdmi
obs(studio) - doesnt matter which option (directsound/waveout/only capture)

Why are you using RECentral at all? The setup I would expect is roughly:

Gaming PC - Enable the "Listen to" function for Stereo Mix/What U Hear and point it at the capture card, which should appear as a playback device. Repeat for your mic so it gets sent to the capture card as well.

Encoding PC - All of the necessary audio is already being received so just add the capture card as a video capture device in OBS.

I'm not using recentral, but you can change audio input in it and some other options, like dvi/hdmi. So I wrote it just for other users. I'm also not sending microphone via Stereo mix cause I've got one connected to the streaming pc and I use my headset mic for ingame/teamspeak on the gaming pc :)
