Question / Help Dual PC Setup - Does OBS need an GPU ? Ryzen 2700x [30%/Idle]

Hello Guys,
I want to stream with a dual PC Setup.
I tried the Setup with NDI and also a GameCapture. When I add the NDI Source or GameCapture my CPU Load is @30% without streaming.

Maybe is OBS using a GPU ? Cause my Streaming PC has only the Ryzen 2700x without an GPU. I connect with Remote Desktop to control OBS.
I can only stream @ 900/60 with very fast preset ...

Thanks for your help

OBS requires a physical GPU for rendering, and you must not connect via rdp to avoid Windows replacing the physical GPU with a software-emulated rdp GPU.

It depends on your desired canvas resolution, your fps, how many sources you have in your scene(s), and which filters you apply to your sources. As rule of thumb, I remember that for 1080@60 with not too many sources and filters, a GPU score of about 2000 from this benchmark website https://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu_list.php should be sufficient
This rules most iGPUs out, but the majority of not-ancient external GPUs should be ok.
