Question / Help Dual PC Setup (1800x) - dropping frames, tearing - Elgato HD60 Pro

Hello! I have some issues with my dual pc setup (specs link below) in OBS Studio. My stream does not look 60FPS most of the time, and at quick moves in game it looks horrible and the image is tearing.

I worked out on my Log file so i got rid of most of the failures but i have no image quality improvement...

Here i have 2 screenshots of both video capture devices (Elgato + Webcam)
Elgato HD60 Pro: http://prntscr.com/ioqglo
Webcam - Logitech C920: http://prntscr.com/ioqgr8
OBS Studio log: https://gist.github.com/618abf00ec8ca12689220dd74041451d
Streaming PC Ryzen 1800x - full specs: http://bit.ly/FlashGamingSetup
Gaming PC i7 7700K - full specs: http://bit.ly/FlashGamingSetup

Problems:
- If i set in the Elgato properties in OBS - Resolution/FPS Type: Device Default it forces the capture card to 30.000 fps and the stream looks horrible.
- If i set in the Elgato properties in OBS - Video Format: YV12, and put manually 60 fps, the capture card sets to 60.000 fps but the framerate on the stream looks like maximum 20fps
- If i set in the Elgato properties in OBS - Video Format: YUY2, and put manually 60 fps, the framerate on video looks better and a little bit smoother but sometimes lags or drops frames.

The OBS output is not 60.00 fps stable, it always drops and stays between 40-60fps (http://prntscr.com/ioqjxo)

I have a friend with 1800x and it does not have this issue at all, he gets 60.00 fps constant output, and has a very good stream quality (same OBS encoding settings, same 1800X.

Do you have any idea of the problem?

Hi,

i have the same setup as you. I only can recommend to set everything on your elgato software to default. Especially on OBS side.
Reinstalling the Elgato Software might work aswell.

I think you have to figure out which component is responsible for that. So I would recommend to do the following:
- reinstalling Elgato Software
- reinstalling Elgato drivers (Link)
- reinstalling OBS and only add the video device, nothing else (please export your szene setup and your profiles before uninstalling!)
- check the decoding and encoding settings on the Elgato Software: Link

I had the case that something was wrong with my OBS scene. Reinstalling didn't help at all. Only the creation of a new scene and adding everything manually again solved my problem. Keep this in mind!

Good luck :-)

Hey! I think i found the problem of the system. It will be the GT 420 gpu on streaming PC. It hits 100% usage when OBS is opened and if i disable the OBS Preview it goes to 98% usage, and the OBS Fps output goes to 60.00fps.

What GPU would be recommended for the Streaming PC?

Thank you for your quick answer!

Change the audio type on the elgato to capture only. WaveOut and Directsound for that setting WILL break things.

I have a AMD Ryzen 5 5600x 6-Core Processor for both my gaming and streaming pc the only difference is the gpu, my gaming pc is a 3060 and my streaming pc is a 2060 and I am also using the Elgato HD60 S+ to bridge them but for whatever reason whenever i do the full screen preview, ( i already tried duplicating and extending and its the same result ) but my streaming Pc just loses frames constantly and idk what to do, so if anyone have any tips anything, i would greatly appreciate it!
