DSLR has black bars on OBS

My camera itself (Canon EOS Rebel T100) is set to 1920x1080@30fps, and the resolution in Video Capture Device properties within OBS is also set to 1920x1080@30fps. Despite this, my camera still has black bars and cropping them out causes the video to not be true 16:9. Log file is also attached

Have you confirmed that Canon's EOS webcam utility can do that resolution with that camera?
On my 80D which is USB2, can not

turns out it outputs 1024x576, but isn't that still 16:9? when i scale it to 16:9 it still has black bars

I think your camera's sensor is not 16:9. The camera itself is adding the black bars to it's 16:9 output. Make sure the camera is set to movie mode. That should crop the sensor to the correct aspect ratio.
