Hey guys I know these problems we're already here but I am desperate. Spend already 5 days with OBS and still doesn't work well. Tried a lot of different settings also some from your forums etc. And still doesn't work. I don't have a new laptop but is still good laptop which one can run games in 3D smoothly.

here I copy that link what you probably need to solve it: https://gist.github.com/55dba26709b8e460f1514c888b6ca063

my laptop: intel i7 2.4ghz boost to 3.1 ghz
16 GB RAM
GTX 560M 3GB

my FPS also drop down so much, so for example i have 200 FPS and if i start record it drop to 28 FPS.

and for example if I run WoW its going around 130 FPS and around 30 % usage CPU and with OBS it drop to 20 FPS and back to 130 FPS and high CPU and warning.. jesus.

thank you so much.

Use the Direct3D 11 renderer instead of the OpenGL renderer. NEVER use the OpenGL renderer.

16:27:29.852: Output 'adv_file_output': Number of skipped frames due to encoding lag: 928 (32.8%)

Your CPU is having issues with keeping up with live-encoding. Downscale to 720p and/or use the ultrafast CPU preset.

16:27:29.852: Output 'adv_file_output': Number of lagged frames due to rendering lag/stalls: 101 (3.6%)

Your GPU can't keep up with rendering all the frames.

I would say that the best solution is just to use Quick Sync (if you have it). Quick Sync offloads all the encoding load onto a dedicated encoder on your iGPU, meaning your CPU won't take a huge hit. You can probably keep your current settings by using Quick Sync.

how i can use Quick sync guys? because in setting i can't use that i can have just x264 . Thank you for fast response i will try this. so in the end i can't actually record in good quality right? so probably my laptop is old shi*. Do you have some recommend how to boost this laptop ? because i just both this one so dont want to buy new one. Hard to believe this laptop is shi**y for normal recording games. Thank you. appreciate it.

ok will try that. What abou CBR CRF enable or disable? thank you for everything. Btw: but 720 its gonna be terrible quality i guess.

Try limiting your fps in-game to your laptop refresh rate (60Hz?), this will help a lot when recording by reducing the load on your CPU whilst you are recording.

In OBS Studio Output settings, the drop-down list for Encoder should have an option for you to use Intel Quick Sync.

While the following guide is not directly for OBS Studio, it may have some useful information for you in regards to BIOS management to enable QSync for you laptop, as well as a few links that might prove handy if you run into issues:
