Question / Help Dropping Frames

My issue with connecting to twitch was resolved but now I'm noticed that my issue with dropped frames never actually went away. I had all the recommended settings with the x264 Encoder and changed it over to NVENC based on another threads recommendation. It only dropped the amount of frames dropped by about 5%.

I am still getting about 14% frames dropped on average just idling on the game screen. I've messed with the bitrate, resolution, and FPS and I've gotten no where.

So I kept everything the same and changed the downscale filter to Lanczos, 32 samples and the dropped frames dropped considerably (down to 5%).

I'm still curious if it is possible to drop it lower as it seems to be a little choppy.

Hi,

Nvenc wont help with this issue, best to stick with x264 software which will provide better results at lower bitrate. Checking the log you are getting

Number of dropped frames due to insufficient bandwidth/connection stalls: 5177 (23.2%)

Even though you have enough upload to run a 1200 bitrate stream you are running it over wireless "Interface: Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260 (802.11, 144 mbps)" this I expect is your problem. See if you can run over cat5 or away to improve your signal.
