Hey all,
So my issue is that my stream will randomly start dropping tons of frames. It won't completely cutoff the video stream, but it will be a much lower fps for 5-10 seconds, then return to normal. I have two vods, along with time stamps and the logs at the end of the post. Note, the first log has lots of recording/stopping as I adjusted audio levels before going live.
From the logs, I can deduce that the frame drops are network related
00:49:43.094: Output 'simple_stream': Number of lagged frames due to rendering lag/stalls: 1 (0.0%)
00:49:43.094: Output 'simple_stream': Number of dropped frames due to insufficient bandwidth/connection stalls: 13740 (2.6%)
When using the twitch server tester, it said I should be capable of streaming ~7500 to US East servers, and about ~10000 to the Canadian servers. I'm streaming with NVENC at 6000.
Things I've tried:
Lowering bitrate to 4000/5000, frames still drop
Changing to a quebec streaming server, frames still drop
Unticking "enforce streaming service caps" in OBS, assuming it throttled me in some way, frames still drop
Kept track of temps/%usages, no issues present
Lowering quality preset from High Quality down to Low Latency-HQ
Things I havn't tried:
A different streaming service
X264 instead of NVENC (Will try this shortly)
Thanks for any help
