Hello there. I've just locally recorded some Dota 2 in OBS Studio using 'capture a full screen application' and the end recording was AWFUL. I've streamed it with OBS Classic and the end result has been okay (uploadable). My base resolution is 3840x2160 and I downscale it to 1280x720 as that's the best I can normally do at 30 frames. Bitrate is 2500. I also record facecam. It started off okay but once we got in-game I got 1 frame every 5 seconds or so. That log file is '2016-03-01 20-38-01'.
Then for my second game (again locally recorded), I chose the Dota 2 window to record from (instead of 'capture any full screen application') and then force scaled it to 720p. The quality for the game was worse than my first session but my facecam was fine. That log file is '2016-03-01 21-41-22'. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_eNrGmIsig is the upload of that session).
Please can someone look at this and tell me what's going on? I also cannot stream high-action games like Witcher 3 or Rainbow Six (even at 480) as there are far too many dropped frames but with Dota 2 like I said streamed just fine with OBS Classic at 720p. Cheers.
