Hi Guys,

I've been streaming for a year, with no dropped frames issues. Been using OBS Studio for about 6 months, and I just tried updating to OBS 17 today. Now every time I boot up my stream, no matter whats going on I'm dropping 20-40% of my frames at any given time. I'm not quite sure what the problem is, since the only change I've done is updating to OBS17. Hopefully one of you guys can point me in the right direction.

Hi,

The logs showing "21:18:39.762: Output 'simple_stream': Number of dropped frames due to insufficient bandwidth/connection stalls: 9632 (45.2%)" along with others

Checking the Twitch B/W Test results the quality levels are to low, they need to be a min of 80 but the closer to 100 the better, the maximum here is 12 so there is clearly an issue.

If you haven't had any issues streaming at 3000 bitrate before then I would check with your ISP as this can be there connection quality that's causing the problem though having them admit this can be problematic.

Try also re running the T/B/W/T and set the duration to 30's, the other option is to run at a lower bitrate, also check that your upload is high enough to run 3000 (3mb) you will need a 4mb upload.
