Hi there! I've read a ton of articles and forum posts on why OBS could be dropping frames. I've considered them all and fiddled with all of the settings internally, but I'm pretty certain that it may actually be a bug. I've used other screen cap programs that have given me 60 fps at 1440p resolution before. The problem I'm having is that OBS will drop more than half of my frames while recording. The weird thing is that it only drops frames when I'm clicked into the game I'm playing! When I click out of it in windowed mode the recording frame rate stabilizes and stops dropping frames. I am seriously confused at to what the issue is. I've tried everything to get the issue to subside.
Looking into the log file for the video I posted, I do see that there were a lot of dropped frames due to rendering stalls. That seems like a hardware issue, but as outlined in the video, there does seem to be a bit of a weird software issue when clicking in and out of game.
Also the log does show a ton of different recordings as I was bouncing back and forth between different settings and games. The last recording is that of the one posted here:

This video was posted at full bitrate (200Mb). I didn't compress the video file after recording. I uploaded as soon as the recording was finished. Youtube will have compressed it to 24 Mb, so expect some quality loss.
