Question / Help Dropped frames using Studio in particular :(

Hey guys, I've been having issues with dropped frames lately. It's only with OBS studio.

Specs:
i5-4460
16gb RAM @ 1600Mhz
Geforce 960 4GB
4.5 upload speed

I've been streaming for years and have quite a bit of knowledge on it, but this situation I can't seem to fix. OBS drops about 10-20 frames every few seconds, 3-5% of my frames are dropped and it's apparent on stream.

Things I've tried:
Streaming to a different provider
Lowering my bitrate
Reinstalling OBS (clean)
Using my CPU as well as my GPU to encode
Trying multiple servers
Using twitch bandwidth test application to test which server is best and using that server
Streaming at different resolutions and frame rates
Checking firewall settings and port settings to ensure everything is allowing OBS and it's connectivity
Checking Antivirus software to ensure nothing is blocking OBS from functioning properly

I've isolated the issue down to OBS Studio in particular by doing the following (which worked):
Streaming from Xsplit
Streaming from OBS CLASSIC
Streaming from GameShow

All of the above work fine, but I still prefer OBS Studio. I get the best quality out of it for free (OBS Classic is the next best, but my avermedia capture card's video quality isn't as crisp when I stream using Classic).

If I could get any help on the matter I would GREATLY appreciate it :D

Having literally the same issue. Prior to today, I was literally dropping 0.4% frames, but since today, I've been dropping anywhere from 15-50% frames depending on the server I choose and how I adjust my settings. 15% is the absolute best I can get it to. What's weird is even Classic is doing it for me too. Classic never dropped a single frame before, but even it's dropping a lot. I'm hoping someone can post some insight.

If it's happening with OBS Classic as well i doubt the issue is OBS tho. try out Xsplit just to make sure.. If it's happening there then it's likely that it's something to do with your connection, firewall or antivirus. Don't think dropped frames really pertain to your hardware, unless it's a bad/old router or outdated network card drivers.
