Question / Help Dropped frames on NES game

Was hoping to get some help on an issue I started having where frames drop even on NES games at 640x480. Uploading a log file didn't work and I got the message "The uploaded file does not have an allowed extension. The following extensions are allowed: .zip, .txt, .pdf, .png, .jpg, .jpeg, .jpe, .gif, .log, .rar, .7z, .dmp" so I just copied and pasted the log file (so sorry if that's normally frowned upon). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Logfiles SHOULD be in .txt format, and uploadable normally. I'd recommend editing your post and at least wrapping it in a quote block, or better-yet attaching the logfile as a file... again, by default they're saved by OBS as .txt files.

That log doesn't contain a streaming session, just two recording sessions. You have some minor encoder overload, but it's less that 0.2% and generally that's within the margin of what can be safely ignored.

One major issue is that you're recording to mp4 format. NEVER EVER FOR ANY REASON RECORD TO MP4 directly. If you need mp4 files, after you record to MKV or FLV, go into OBS' File menu, select Remux Recordings, and remux them to mp4. It's quick and clean. MP4 is NOT a recording format; it can cause issues while recording, and if there is any issue that causes the file not to be successfully finalized, the entire recording will be unrecoverable, just a pile of digital garbage that you can only delete and start over.

Dropped Frames (the counter at the bottom of the OBS window while streaming) are ALWAYS a network issue.

Post a new logfile (as a file) from a live streaming session at least 30 seconds in length, where the problem was occurring. We can get a better idea of what's going on from there.
