Dreaded "Failed to initialize video" error

Hi. This appeared today:

I've attempted to resolve this by restarting my computer, updating OBS, updating all my drivers, forcing OBS to use the correct GPU and by forcing WARP with DXCPL. Nothing has worked. Between the last successful use of OBS and this one, the only thing I've done is performed a Windows update and updated some random applications.

The OpenGL renderer is not supported on Windows. Undo whatever change you did to enable it.

Hi Rich! Not really sure when/how that change was made. Possibly quite long ago. And I'm not sure how I would change it with the program not opening. However, at a friend's suggestion, I rolled back to an earlier version of OBS and it works! I went back to the last full release, OBS Studio 30.1.2. Now, I'm hoping there will be an OBS update that will be compatible with my system in the near future. At this point, if I should change the OpenGL renderer, I'd be grateful for your help!

Oh, Rich, I'm sorry, I seem to have found where I can change the renderer. I did it in v30.1.2. Now I'm going to try updating to the latest version and see if it works. I'll post my results! Thank you.

Success! Rich, I don't know when I must have switched to OpenGL, but now that I'm on DirectX, everything is firing on all cylinders with the latest release! Thank you! This thread has a happy ending.
