Hi all
Long story short, I want to monitor a chatbox on a webpage and when it changes display the text.
I know I could just use a browser source and crop the required section, and that is what I was previously doing.
The way I am now doing it is to hook into the chatlog in my normal browser, monitor for changes and then output the text to a file, which I am then using a text (GDI+) window in chatlog mode.
Rather than having to keep a browser window open I want to do the same in the OBS browser window which means it will be running automatically when OBS is running, and means I won't forget.
My question is: can I download a file using the OBS browser window and javascript?
This is (or was) just a programming challenge for me, I have completed the functionality in javascript and it works perfectly in Chrome.
If it's a no then I will just go back to the original webpage and mangle the *&^* out of the CSS in the OBS browser window so it just shows the text as I want it in the font I want it in and in a size and position suitable for my requirements.
Anyway, have a good night all and welcome to 2025. A quarter of a century gone in the blink of an eye.
Can you remember the turn of the millennium? What were you doing on the day or night 2000 arrived?
