Question / Help Does Streaming go straight to Youtube

Good afternoon,

Have to say I am really impressed with the software. My boss wants me to ask if the OBS software transmits the information directly to Youtube or if it goes to OBS and then over. My guess is that it goes directly, but wanted to double check.
