I'm having trouble getting stereo inputs captured and broadcast on obs. But apparently I'm going to try a way to do this in a similar technique as the way I capture 3D video with two separate cameras and then manipulate those for stereoscopy.
I could turn a stereo soundtrack into twin mono soundtracks with a left and right isolated from each other. I could buy one more analog capture capture card and have a pair of analog capture cards one captures just the left one captures just the right.
I noticed there's some sliders on the advanced audio settings, like, for example, a stereo input on a Mac reads as a single bar that goes from left to right and shows it could move from left to right anywhere on the balance.
I want to make sure this is right before I extra capture cards, but can you take a stereo source separated into mono sources, stage them as extreme left and right staged examples by sliding the Left channel all the way left in the right channel all the way right on the balance and then have it broadcast the stereo truly like it should have been?
Apple says they have some things hidden in libraries that you have to work with apple in order to unlock.
Since my Turtle Beach headphone adapter is used for most systems, and for my switch and Wii U an lpcm to headphone converter that runs via USB is used, I already mixed down a 3D surround soundtrack to a left and right stereo (because it is capturable on a DVD-R and playback in true surround sound.). Since two sound channels is all you need to accurately get surround sound, buying an extra sound adapter should be enough. Granted you have to wear headphones for this to work but it's better than nothing.
Just wondering what you guys think of this.
