Question / Help Do not work window capture / game capture

I have the same problem.

I have Windows 7 and some times ago (before New Year) from the task manager, the Lineage II (game) icon in the application's tab was disappeared, it is only displayed in the processes tab. And after that, my OBS stopped capturing the game through "grabbing the game" and even through "window capture" (the game window is not displayed in the capture list). Reinstalled the video driver, reinstall the client of the game, reinstall OBS studio app, nothing helped. Only "screen capture" works. How to return the "capture window" / "capture the game"? and what less resource-cost capture a window or capture a screen? Also, when I start the game, when I capture the window and capture the game, the entire list of available windows disappears. And when the game is not running, when I capture a window, I have a list of available windows.

I don't see a game capture attempt in that log.

Can you try to capture the game using game capture, and then upload the current log?

I'm still not seeing Game Capture actually attempting to capture anything in that log. Are you sure you have it configured correctly? Try changing it to capture specific window, and then select your game from the list manually.

Try exiting bandicam, it's very likely that program is conflicting with OBS.

Then, try running OBS as administrator.

I using bandicam only to show you how a game and window captures is not working.
OBS running as administrator always.

Still no useful log file with an actual recording/streaming in it.
Start OBS, Start Game, record game, stop recording, upload log.

The problem here is that something on your PC is blocking OBS from being able to see the game's process.

What antivirus are you using? I noticed that the other checks we do (for running AV and windows options) are also being blocked and not reported by the log.

I am not using any antivirus or firewall.
What have I do to find out what is blocking access to OBS ?

Before locking option to capture game and capture window there developers was update a "game guard" - frost and 4game application.
Can it block OBS studio ?

Yes, it definitely can block. You'll need to reach out to the game developer and ask them to whitelist OBS' game capture.

I wrote to game developers. After long time watings I received a note from support that they send my request to the Frost(gameguard) developers. Awhile some time I am decided to check "Game Capture". And "Game Capture" works but when I changed scen to another and then return to main scen with "Game Capture" - it break down.
