Question / Help Do I need a new GPU to stream?

I have built a new gaming computer, I want to stream but every time I do I get the high encoder error message. I have an old GPU in my comp which is a 760 2gb EVGA. I'll list all of my specs: I7 6700k, 32GB of ram, H100 AIO, Maximus Hero VIII, and my GTX 760 2GB. Everything that I listed is brand new except for the GPU. When I stream I get a message saying that I need to turn down my encoding presets because the one I have is too high. I don't understand this because the I7 6700k is a great CPU. I starting to believe I'm having this problem because of my GPU. Any suggestions?

The reason why you are seeing the error is probably because OBS uses the GPU to render frames and for the preview. If you GPU is being maxed out, it won't be able to keep up with rendering the frames and the preview.
