Question / Help DJ mixer has mix out as channel 5/6.

Hey forum,

New here wondering if I could get some help/guidance from other users/experts.

I want to stream DJ sets & direct audio feed is a must. I'm trying to figure out what could be done .OBS sees audio sources as channel 1/2 however my mixers outs are 5/6. Anyways to fix this? Aggregate, multi output, blackhole (alternative to soundflower)?

I know I could get a cheap audio card and get this to work. But looking for a fix with what I have

OBS understands stereo and surround audio, not arbitrary multichannel audio.

I use LoopBack to create virtual sources, add hardware devices to them, and do channel routing.

How's is routing done? I tried with blackhole (GitHub alternative to loopback) and no luck. Where do you reroute?

LoopBack can add any arbitrary number of hardware devices to a virtual device, and it can also choose from available hardware channels for devices that have more than one or two.

I do not believe BlackHole has these features. That was software I attempted to use some years ago but I did not have much luck with it.
