Question / Help Distorted Lines in Video with any movement (Mac)

Hello, I'm creating this thread because after 3 weeks of searching, tutorial watching, forum reading and testing upon testing I am unable to get rid of blurred distorted lines in my video preview when ever there is even the smallest movement in the field of what I'm videoing. I am running OBS Studio 16.2, on a Mac book Air and I've also tried it on an iMac with the same results. I have a connected 4k panasonic camera sending 1080p through a black magic mini recorder connect to the Mac with thunderbolt. The picture quality is great until anything or anyone in the picture moves then they look pixelated with lines. I've tried changing every setting under the sun in the advanced output settings and in video settings with no real improvement.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Under the sources list in the main screen, if you right click the Blackmagic Device source. There's an optioned called Deinterlacing, this seemed to fix the issue for me :) Hope this helps :D

Right click on Black Magic Source and changing Deinterlacing worked perfect! Not exactly sure the difference in the options but I decided Linear 2x works best for me!

Same here, right-click on Video Capture Device > Deinterlace > Discard did the trick with an old Sony camcorder connected via HDMI to an Elgato camlink USB stick in case anyone's running something similar, since this is the first Google result when looking for this issue. Thanks guys.

I don't know if I fully understand the problem so, I described problem I had. I'm transferring old VHS tapes and movies from PVR to my computer. During the playback I noticed sporadically vertical distorted line moving across the screen. Annoying. Spec for my Video Capture device does not specify the FPS, I was using OBS set to 60 FPS. Changed it to 30 FPS and the problem solved. Check your hardware. I hope this will help.

This solution worked for me as well. Although, before finding it I was having the same problem with my camcorder input. I discovered that changing my frame rate to 30 fps also worked.
