I'm streaming on Twitch generally, but I wanted to try out YouTube. I've set it up, I connected OBS to YouTube and the test streams run perfect, just like Twitch.
But well, while Twitch is pretty much automated, I've seen most people use StreamYard to pull up and manage superchats, but they mostly use it for podcasts etc. As a gamer it's not possible (afaik) to pull up a superchat without leaving the game, so the solution for me looks like this right now while playing:
1. Leaving the game
2. Clicking and displaying the superchat on stream
3. Returning to the game and talking about the superchat
4. Leaving the game again, hiding the superchat
5. Returning to the game
I have a 2 monitor setup, a phone and a tablet, even a streamdeck and Rodecaster Pro 2. And I've been trying to find a solution for gamers all week. The last post regarding displaying chat on stream in these forums is from 2021 and apparently the plugin is falling apart. The only other solution I could find is steveseguin/social_stream.
My favorite solution would be a plugin for OBS that only shows the (preferably stylized like StreamYard) superchats that you can show/hide on stream via hotkeys.
