Question / Help Display not showing up in screen window - pics attached

man this is frustrating
what gives? no video of my samsung 4k tv. i believe all my settings are correct, ran the wizard just for screen recording, and ive got nothing in the preview screen. Not trying to record my laptop screen, but my 55' 4k, downscaled to 1920 which it seems it setup right. Pics attached. this shouldnt be that diffucult
