Question / Help Display Capture Not Working

Earlier this year I downloaded OBS Studio and configured it so I could live stream drawings I make in Adobe Photoshop, and everything worked perfectly.

I hadn't streamed for a couple months, hadn't touched OBS, and certainly hadn't changed any settings. But this week I opened it up again and it showed a black screen. None of the troubleshoot fixes I found seemed to help, and other sources seem to be working fine, just not Display Capture.

I've attached the current log file for reference. Any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Unfortunately running as administrator didn't work either. I even tried reinstalling the program, but the problem persisted.

Hello, I'm having the same issue, more or less.
When starting OBS Studio with a display capture scene, it usually works. However, as soon as there is an UAC prompt (password prompt which fades out the background), the display capture stops working. If at some point a video is playing (VLC or media source plugin), like my pause screen which has a video in the background, there's a good chance when I return to the scene with the display capture, it has stopped working as well. The only way to fix this is to restart OBS, which really sucks if it has to be done while streaming.
I read all the threads about this topic, it's ALWAYS about laptops with two graphics adapters. I do not have a laptop, this is an Acer Predator desktop PC with an NVIDIA 1070. I checked the NVIDIA control panel to change OBS to use the Intel graphics adapter, but it seems that this PC doesn't have that, at least the option to select the graphics adapter does not exist.
I NEED to use display capture, if I work with programs like Photoshop, as Photoshop comprises several windows, even if it looks like one. Same goes if I work on something that requires me to frequently switch programs.
Isn't there anything else that can be done to make display capture work reliably? I never had these issues with OBS Classic or with Windows 7.
What am I supposed to do if switching graphics adapters is simply not possible?

Did anyone ever figure this out?

Also, a better description of this issue would be: Display capture stops working for the leftmost monitor when UAC appears.

For example, I have 3 monitors. My rightmost display is set as my main display (ie the one on which the UAC prompt actually appears) my "main" stream monitor simply shows the background and UAC blocker. Display capture still works on my middle and right monitor, but the left is down for the count until I restart OBS (which unfortunately takes more than 90 seconds with all my mods so Twitch disconnect protection won't cover me, especially when it crashes due to an unrelated issue involving garbage collecting sources).
