Display capture makes games I am playing very choppy.

Every time I boot display capture I'll be in a game and it will be running fine 120fps/120hz but as soon as obs begins to capture the game with display capture my game starts getting VERY choppy. I say choppy bc my FPS and refresh rate seemingly don't change but I can clearly see that the game is running at barely 30fps, and it's only when I use display capture but CSGO can't use game capture anymore so it's my only option.

I am having this exact issue. Also, it happens when OBS is open, but not streaming for me. OBS has ot be fully closed to get games back to normal. It happens in every game I've tried, though it was less noticeable in Rocket League, I htink because it usualyl runs at 250+ fps and the 'reduced' fps or whatever is still around 60. In other games that run at less than 120 it looks like 30-40 fps. Neither my CPU (3700X) nor GPU (GTX 1080) are showing unusual loads.
