Question / Help Disconnect Audio from Camcorders input

I have a three camera shoot into OBS with Cam Links. I have two shot guns into one of the cameras. When the cameras come in and we switch from camera to camera we lose the sound because OBS gets is audio from the device that is live.

Is there a plug in that separates audio from the hdmi coming in?

I guess the answer is to use a mixer and bring the audio in by an audio hardware into USB.

Or disable the audio in OBS' mixer in the scene with the device.

If I disable the audio of the camera coming in what audio would I have? It's coming in through the USB Cam link device so the audio is with the video.

You'd mute the video capture device source's audio in the mixer.
