*I searched for this as best I could in this entire forum, but haven't seen any similar posts covering this...
I'm relatively new to using OBS, only a few months now, but I use it every week at least once for several hours. My kit consists of a Canon camcorder, an Ultrastudio Mini Recorder, and a MacBook Pro 2012 (16GB RAM).
Yesterday I ran into an issue when after connecting everything up, I fired up OBS and the Ultrastudio Mini Recorder and camcorder weren't being detected by OBS. I checked all the settings and nothing had changed from the previous session, so I checked for an OBS update. Sure enough, upon installation I reopened OBS and there's the external camera.
So now I'm curious as to why OBS devs have this software configured to not only check version status, but to disable certain functions and forcing me to update? If this is the case, then I won't be using their software anymore.
Anyone else experience this?
