Digitizing VHS - PAL Settings

Hello, new to the forum here.

I have a PAL VCR I purchased from Europe, and I am trying to digitize PAL tapes for a client. The VCR is a Panasonic NV-SD205, and I am using standard RCA cables to connect to an RCA to USB adapter. My NTSC VCR and camcorder both work fine for this setup on OBS, but with the PAL VCR and PAL tapes, the image is black and white.

I tested the PAL VCR and tapes on my flat screen TV (again, with just RCA cables), and the color came in fine. What settings am I missing here on OBS? I changed the Common FPS values in Settings - Video to 50 PAL, but that doesn't make a difference. Is it an issue with the RCA to USB?

Thank you for any help you can give!

Do you have a PAL capture card? NTSC and PAL are similar, but different enough that the hardware itself can be optimized for one and not work for the other. No amount of software or settings can fix that.

I just purchased a new RCA to USB adapter that is PAL specific. The first one I was using didn't have the PAL designation. We'll see if it works. Thank you!
