Difficulty capturing from VHS

Could really use some help here, I'm trying to digitize a bunch of VHS tapes and have set the base and output resolutions to 768x576 for 4:3 but in the capture window, I'm only seeing the upper left hand corner of the video (zoomed in) with the remaining space filled in with back and grey diagonal stripes... what setting am I missing?? Thanks so much in advance.

If the Getting Started Guide here isn't your thing, there are video OBS Studio tutorials. However, I'm more a reading person than watching tutorial videos, so I'm more inclined to good quality, edited written material. In this case, there are some really good free eBooks
