Question / Help Difference between streaming from phone vs laptop with external cam/mic?

Hi,

I live on a boat and connect to the internet via mobile phone. I am wanting to live stream to youtube and facebook (mainly talking to camera so little action except moving around the boat) but I'm trying to work out how much impact streaming from the laptop via OBS with an external mic and camera has on my bandwidth versus streaming directly from a phone via an app.

I like the look of the Logitech C920 HD Pro USB 1080p Webcam and Shure MV5-LTG Digital Condenser Microphone. Along with a sportscam I could have two or three camera angles and a decent mic to stream with via OBS.

1) Does using these peripherals add to the bandwidth?
2) If I set OBS to only stream at a certain rate is there any point in a 1080 webcam?
3) What additional processing/compression is going on using these peripherals that might impact on my mobile phone connection?
4) Are there any recommended settings within OBS to throttle/control the output or optimise for streaming via a mobile phone connection?

Using just a phone isn't ideal, especially on a boat where wind is an issue and stability means a moving phone is jerky and distracting, hence my wanting to use the latop and a decent cam/mic, but I want to know how they may impact on the cost of bandwidth.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.
