Question / Help Desktop PC, OBS having a black screen?

I tried to run OBS but I have a black screen, I tried to game capture Gmod (or Garry's Mod) and when I tried to check the footage, it was a black screen. Is there a way to fix this?

My settings are :


Bitrate : 5000,
Quality : Lossless
Encoder: Hardware (QSV)
Resolution (base and output): 1440 x 900
FPS: 60
Downscale Filter:Lanczos (Sharpened scaling, 32 samples)

My PC specs:


GPU: Nvidia GTX 970 Zotac 4GB Edition
CPU: Intel core i7 4790K
Ram: 8GB 1600MHZ
OS: Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit

It sounds to me like your Game Capture did not capture Garry's Mod could you see it in the preview? If not and all you saw was a red circle top left then right click the game capture in the sources list and choose Transform, Fit to Screen
