Desktop Capturing

Hi there

First, I'll introuce myself. I'm Stevie; 32 and live in New Zealand. My interests including constitutional law of NZ, IT, Philosophy and Classical Studies.

Now to my queries:
I installed and configured the appropriate settings for audio and video. I did initially load Window Capture, but I can't seem to resize it for it to capture only a portion of my screen. I played around a bit and ended up with this mess (it seems everytime I close the program and reopen it, a new lot of windows in the preview box multiply):

How do I get rid of these duplicate display windows, and add the source of my video as what is displayed on my screen (preferable with the ability to edit what portion I want captured)?

Many thanks and kind regards
Stevie

if you wan't to "resize" the "full" to only show a Specific area of the screen Like the 2 screens
before
after
its simple hold the "ALT" (left from space) and use the "drag" qauters

How can I make it so I know what is recording on my actual screen, rather than see the OBS interface adjusting the frame and try and estimate whether the area I've covered is recording the area I want on my actual screen? See for eg Expression Enconder Screen Capture
