Question / Help Desktop capture works but not window capture

Hey all......yes, Im new to all this and I am sure the answer is here but I havent found it just yet.

When I add the display capture I DO see the desktop so it obviously works. I cannot get the WINDOW capture to work though. Just a black area. I have tried changing to other items (Notepad for example) and they work fine. None of the browsers seem to work though. Any help would be awesomely appreciated!
 
Window-capturing Chrome only works if you deactivate hardware-acceleration within Chrome. As far as I remember, it's the same thing with Firefox. And by the way, with Microsoft Office products as well.
And while we are at it, Windows Shop apps cannot be window-captured at all, unfortunately. In this case, your only option is to use display capture and crop the window area.
