Question / Help Desktop Audio Locks Whenever I Open OBS Studio

After doing some searching on the internet and these forums I have been unable to find someone who also has this issue.

When I first downloaded OBS Studio I had no issue with my audio, I could open, close, and record using OBS without any issues.

But now, for whatever reason, whenever I start OBS Studio it will block all audio from playing on my computer.
Youtube videos will lock up, and any application which would normally make sound will go into limbo until I close OBS, then all the audio/video which should have played on those applications/websites will catch up, as if it was afraid of being in OBS's presence.

Thinking this was just a temporary issue I have tried the 32-bit, 64-bit (worked once), setting audio to speakers and headphones, even uninstalling and fresh-reinstalling, all with no luck.

As of right now OBS can record video footage and audio from my mic, but desktop audio is a no-no.

Is all your desktop sound set to output over your headset? That's what you currently have selected as the audio device in OBS:

Code:
11:00:25.967: WASAPI: Device 'Headphones (BlueAnt Pump Zone Stereo)' initialized

Also, you have two Game Captures in the same scene, that's a big no-no. Remove one of those.

Does disabling exclusive mode make a difference?

Does disabling exclusive mode make a difference?

I just found this as you suggested it :P

It did make a difference, but it's not being consistent.

If I start up OBS while playing audio, it will both record and play the audio (around 50% of the time), but as soon as I pause the audio it will no longer play audio through my headphones. (OBS can still pick up and record the audio in this scenario).

If I start up OBS without playing audio, it will not play/pickup audio at all, similar to how it was when exclusive mode was enabled.

Starting to sound like crappy audio hardware. Can you test with your system's onboard audio to see if that works correctly?

Turns out I have quite a few drivers which require updating.

Will let you guys (and any future readers) know how things go, thanks for all of your help :)

==UPDATE==

Updated drivers, tested onboard audio, both seem to be fine and neither solved my problem.

I remember having an issue similar to this around a year ago with Teamspeak, but unfortunately I cant remember how I solved it back then. It could possibly be due to my headphones, unless there's an obvious solution I've missed all along.

Thank you again for helping me out :)
