** Think I found the problem. Look at Ebrito's screenshot in post 2 and compare it to mine in post 3. I'm missing a slider, how do I get it back? **
I'm usually the guy giving people advice on how to configure things with OBS Classic or Studio. However I ran into a strange issue that has me stumped.
I had OBS Studio for a while now. Early on I set up my Webcam using the Green Drop-down and had it configured fine. Same lighting, same green screen setup etc.. I decided to try and set it up from scratch using the select color option instead of green drop down. I chose the option to choose a screen color and clicked on the green screen behind me. From there.. everything went south and you guessed it. I could not erase enough green before parts of my clothes, hat or face started erasing. Nothing I did with the sliders could fix this. I then tried to go back to the green drop down. Same thing. :( I have erased the webcam from all my sources and started from scratch by adding a new webcam and a new Filter. Still no good. I even opened a brand new Chroma Key Greenscreen that I bought from amazon and set that up in the rare case my old green screen was dirty and I got the same result. Mind you this is with the same lighting I always had no issues with prior.
I notice by looking up videos on Youtube that when you choose the green drop down that the default settings of 80 Similarity and 50 smoothness should already be erasing some of the green screen but for me nothing is erased until I get all the way up to 630 similarity. Soon after that I begin erasing around 795 and there is still more green to erase. Nothing seems to work. Not using Green Screen is not an option for me.since my room behind me is ugly as hell. It's a basement with old pipes etc..
Is there anything out of the usual suggestions of Lighting Fixes. cleaning the green screen for a more consistent color erasing all webcam sources and trying again that I can try to fix this.
** ALSO ** I could be crazy but I could swear before I erased my perfectly working Webcam source, I had THREE (3) sliders. I can't remember what the 3rd slider was called but I may be mistaken.
Am I going to need to switch to XSplit to get a working Green Screen? I really don't want to as I feel obs is superior in every other way.
