Hello.

Should i prefer Intel I7 6700 Skylake with integrated GPU -or- XEON-1220v5 + GeForce GT 710 on my dedicated server?

Windows Server 2016 or Windows 10? Both OS are fine with OBS studio?

Purposes: using multiple browser sources, vlc sources, image sources, texts and effects in one stream. So, many incoming data and mixing all these things on the fly.
Streaming live in 1080p 30fps.

Hey there,
I would like to note, in my experience windows server (2012) doesnt not work with OBS.

It is my belief this is due to server installations of windows not containing the software to encode videos, i can not 100% confirm this as i never managed to fix the problem (never figured out how to add that feature, there was 1 thing i didnt test as it would reset a system i had specially setup) so it may be possible, but not on an out of the box installation.

I infact have additionally installed windows 10 onto that system specifically for having a dedicated OBS system, as i simply could not get it to work on windows server (for that matter i couldnt get video editing software to work either)

Hope this helps, go with windows 10 is my advice, optimize windows 10 for performance (turn off all the animations and stuff) and it should be pretty good.

As for the cpu, i would recommend a dedicated GPU regardless of which one you pick. Either cpu will be fine, but a dedicated graphics card will be a big help

made an account specifically to reply to this as it was similar to situations i have been in
