Hey guys, I am not sure if this is the right section of the forums for this thread but I hope I can get some answers on peoples experience/reccommendations for my upgrade to my dedicated streaming pc set up.

I have been using a dual pc streaming setup for the better part of 6 months now and I love it. My streaming pc is my old gaming pc that I wiped and did a fresh install of win 10 running a highly overclocked fx 8320. 24gb ram, ssd for OS, gtx 1050 to avoid rendering lag, and a elgato hd60 pro. I am able to run a 720p/60fps stream at max bit rate (6000) at a very fast cpu preset with no issues for my viewers and no issues regarding my network bandwidth, but the ethernet port on the motherboard is starting to fail and I want to replace the pc which brings me to my actual question.

My options right now for a cpu for hte new pc are a 7700k or a ryzen 1700, I want to be able to run a lower cpu preset and bring a bit more quality to my stream along with the stability of a new build. Does anyone have any experience with these two cpus in a dedicated stream pc?

should I get...
ryzen 1700, or a 7700k, and why? If you are using one of these for this what is the slowest cpu preset you are able to run?
