Dedicated/Shared VRAM

Hi,

I have a GTX 1660 Gaming X 6GB, which should all be dedicated VRAM but when I look at OBS logs it says:

12:55:58.375: Available Video Adapters:
12:55:58.377: Adapter 0: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660
12:55:58.377: Dedicated VRAM: 1987051520
12:55:58.377: Shared VRAM: 4268500992

So why 2GB are dedicated and 4 are shared?

It's what the Graphics driver reports to OBS. You don't need to worry about this. It's the usual configuration for a GTX 1660. Both added are the 6 GB this card has built in. A major part of it has to be shared, so the CPU is able to move graphics data to the GPU to create graphics in the first place. Or, for OBS, the CPU is able to read image data from the frame buffer for streaming.
