Question / Help Dedicated machine encoder question

Hi all,

I've been going through all sorts of guides, readme's, other questions regarding this, but I haven't found THE answer yet.

Issue: High CPU usage/Encoder issue
System specs: So I'm running a i7 5930k (6c12T) @ 4.4Ghz, 8GB of memory and a random RX480
Config: 1080p at 60fps, CBR 6000, keyframe interval 2, CPU preset medium, profile main.

Now I know, I could reduce either the resolution or CPU preset to get rid of the Encoder overloaded message, what I don't understand is ..how can this CPU be so bad at it? I see people using older ryzens or intel chips (same specs if not worse) and can easily do what I'm trying to do (some using even slower presets) and they even have enough overhead to run a second instance of OBS if they wanted.
I could maybe swap out the RX480 to a 980ti, but I've been testing the whole shabang with nothing but the Elgato, so I'm not sure what would that give me currently.

Now I might have to look at the truth in the face and accept that this is all the system can do, but maybe good folks here have some ideas on how to get the best of it.

Here's the log. It spikes a few times and I was keeping an eye on the CPU usage in task manager, and it was literally broderline 90-100 most of the time

And here's a CPU-Z showing the 4.4ghz, the log shows 3.5

Do you have anything else than OBS open while encoding?
I can say as much, it is not the GPU
1080p on medium can also be too hard for your PC to encode, maybe drop it to the "fast" preset and you should be good
Alternatively, setting resolution to 1600x900 can yield good results as well

The only thing that was open was OBS. It's weird, I kept reading people using AMD 1600x and 1700x with my settings. 1600x is literally the same specs as 5930k and mine is OCd.

I can't do 1080p60 medium preset on my 1700x, I have to drop it to 1600x900p60 fast preset for it be decent
