Hi all,
I've been going through all sorts of guides, readme's, other questions regarding this, but I haven't found THE answer yet.
Issue: High CPU usage/Encoder issue
System specs: So I'm running a i7 5930k (6c12T) @ 4.4Ghz, 8GB of memory and a random RX480
Config: 1080p at 60fps, CBR 6000, keyframe interval 2, CPU preset medium, profile main.
Now I know, I could reduce either the resolution or CPU preset to get rid of the Encoder overloaded message, what I don't understand is ..how can this CPU be so bad at it? I see people using older ryzens or intel chips (same specs if not worse) and can easily do what I'm trying to do (some using even slower presets) and they even have enough overhead to run a second instance of OBS if they wanted.
I could maybe swap out the RX480 to a 980ti, but I've been testing the whole shabang with nothing but the Elgato, so I'm not sure what would that give me currently.
Now I might have to look at the truth in the face and accept that this is all the system can do, but maybe good folks here have some ideas on how to get the best of it.
