I just got the GeForce GTX 1650 super for nvenc had a 1050. The 1050 worked great video encoding was working in the task manager but now. The 1650s has zero GPU utilization in the encoder. I know a dedicated GPU doesn't improve performance, but it did for me, I was having problems with it overloading my 1080Ti. And it would overload and crash nvenc and OBS, this would happen with game mode on or off, so I bought the 1050 and it fix my problems. I just wanted to test. The new turing nvenc encoder to see if it would improve quality on my stream. It probably won't, but I'm gullible.
I'm not sure if I need to upgrade my CPU and my motherboard to get it to work. I hope not if so then that's my first part on my new streaming PC. on my motherboard it switches my second PCI slot to 4X and not 8x. or maybe I just need to upgrade my motherboard. someone out there smarter than me, tell me what I need to fix please.
