Hi together,
I use OBS Studio for a while.
No I have a Scene Collection with some mediasources. (also tried vlc Plugin)
They show animated Backgrounds, grafics and so on.
I select Hardware acceleration if available.
I have two almost identical Computers, one with a Nvidia GTX 1050ti, and the other with a Radeon RX560 graphics Card.
Now I notices, that the Computer with the GTX does NOT use the Hardware accelerated Decoding. It allways decode the Video fils with the CPU
The other Computer with the Radeon males use of it.
If I try to Play back the Video with some Standard Mediaplayers for example VLC, Mediaplayer or MPC both Computers use the GPU for Decoding.
ONLY OBS does NOT use the posibility of Decoding on the GPU of the NVIDIA GTX 1050, using mediasource and vlc Plugin.
Is there a Workaround?
Here you can see the log with a clean Startup (portable mode) two simple Scenes with mediasource and vlc Plugin.<
