I'm attempting to track down a curious issue with the Decklink HDMI Quad. When the device is activated in OBS with a 2160p input it starts dropping frames creating a flashing effect on screen. It will occasionally do the same with 3 or 4 1080p sources activated.
I've moved it into both X16 PCIe slots and both X8 without any change in behaviour. lspci -vv confirms it's getting the requested amount of lanes / bandwidth. I've even rolled back the BM drivers all the way to the initial release that supported the card.
I've had the card RMAd and BM confirmed it was functioning correctly. At this point I'm leaning toward compatibility issues (msi x399 gaming pro carbon AC) with the motherboard?
The thing that's really bugging me is the same board has been running a Decklink Intensity 4K, Decklink Intensity, and Decklink mini 4K simultaneously for the past year or so without issue.
Running Debian 10 but I have replicated the issue on Debian 9 and CentOS 8.
Also, the Decklink Quad generates massive SDP load spikes with Jack shortly after being activated. Don't know if that's helpful, only an observation.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be most welcome.
