Question / Help dealing with square pixels versus rectangular pixels

Hello when encoding PAL 720x776 i got 5/4 form factor instead of expected 4/3
the only way I found is to use 768x576 which is bad.
I suspect this issue is due to pixel format
so How to get pixel format as a parameter ?
Thanks

little confusion here
if you mean the obs record resolution you can enter any pixelXpixel what you type in its a free text input field
a logfile with record post can help to figure out what you mean

Hello "BluePeer
Thanks for help
Let me summarize the process I go through ( I am digitizing old analog video from VHS or others )

Input is either PAL or SECAM in either composite , Svideo or Component
Format is 720x576 4:3 form factor
I use an acquisition card from Blackmagic design inside the Windows based PC
This acquisition is either driven via Magix S/W and now preferably OBS studio
On Magix I got MPEG2 720x576 4:3
On OBS Studio ( using 720x576 parameters ) I got MPEG4 720x576 5:4 which obviously does'nt display properly on any screen ( PC or TV )
in order to get proper display I have to set the OBS parameters to 768x576 but in that case I got other troubles with video editing S/W

I hope it clarifies

Thanks and regards
Jean-Luc
