Date & Time Stamp overlayed on beginning of video

Hi. I'm brand new to this group and the software. Be gentle. I screen captured my first video clip and found that when I play it back, it has a Date / Time stamp overlayed on the screen, centered near the bottom of the image, for the first 4 seconds of a 5 second clip, then it fades out. How can you tell the program to NOT do this?

Are you sure it's not the program you're using to play the video?

Ah Ha! It was VLC player (my default). It does not do it with Windows Media Player and Windows Photo, and with Windows Movies & TV player it just does it after the clip plays.
