Custom Video Settings Breaks Camera?

Hi all!

I just recently got a razer kiyo pro, and it's working well (surprisingly) for pretty much everything I'm using it for. When I add the camera as a source in OBS, it shows up in its default aspect ratio (4:3); I want to use it at 16:9.

The obvious fix for this is to change it from 'device default' to 'custom' within the source properties. But doing this completely breaks the camera. The preview disappears completely and the source is unusable unless I go back to 'device default'.

I've tried messing with the drivers: getting rid of them, reinstalling them, replacing them with others (i.e., the USB Video Device fix if you're familiar with the Kiyo). And I've restarted my PC several times, opened everything in admin mode, etc. Nothing seems to fix this. I'm at my wits end lol.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

I have the exact same problem. Maybe this will help (haven't tried it yet): On your Windows Search bar type "Graphics" in order to find the Graphic Settings. Scroll within the apps and find OBS. If it is not there you can add it by browsing to the installation folder (something like C/ProgramFiles (x86)/OBS and select OBS.exe).
Open the OBS option (on the Graphics Settings) and instead of selecting "Let Windows Decide", select the "Performance" option.
Restart your PC and launch OBS. Fingers crossed...
