Custom audio output

It would be great if OBS would allow to set the audio device it outputs audio to, this way one could easily route audio from for instance alerts to a specific channel on a multi channel setup Right now output is set to desktop audio output with no option to reroute from there either (I tried using Chevolume)

did you check Settings > advanced > audio > audio monitoring device ?
however i am quite sure multichannel is not supported; I believe that multichannel is downmixed to stereo
